Conference Location

The Venue for KES 2009 Conference is the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Universidad de Chile, located in the central sector of the urban area of Santiago, close to a big park, Parque O'Higgins. The Conference will be held at the Department of Geology which meets the necessary requirements for the conference. The faculty is located at 850 Beauchef, Santiago, Chile.

The early registration will be on September 27th from 16:00 to 19:00 in point number 2. Registration will continue in the same point at September 28th from 8:00 to 11:00, next it will be on Geology building.

The distance between the hotels of the conference and the venue of the conference is about 15 minutes by subway and 10 minutes by taxi. The hotels selected for the conference attendees are all downtown close to the venue.

The Faculty can be reached by taxi (around USD 4) or by subway, from Universidad de Chile station to Los Heroes, and then changing to line 2 and getting off at Toesca Station.

Welcome Cocktail and Dinner Venue

A welcome cocktail reception will be held on the evening of Monday 28 September. The conference banquet dinner will take place on the evening of Tuesday 29 September for delegates with Full Registration or Students who have purchased an additional dinner ticket (Student Registraion does not include the conference dinner).
